Launched in 2012 as a premium boba tea brand, CUPP has grown to 30 stores across the UK and is launching internationally in 2023. Founder and CEO of CUPP, Lee Peacock, lived and worked for many years in Taiwan; the home of boba tea. After falling in love with the country, food, people, and the national drink, he thought what better way to bring an integral part of his life back to the UK.
They see CUPP as pioneers and are raising the standards of the boba tea industry. They do this by using only quality and fresh ingredients like loose leaf tea, organic milk, premium milk substitutes, and fresh fruit or bespoke fruit purees to flavour our teas. They’ve also taken steps to be more eco-friendly by introducing reusable boba tea cups and using only biodegradable bamboo fibre straws instead of plastic . They were the first in the UK boba tea market to introduce bamboo straws.
Their unique and modern store designs suit different locations and requirements; converted shipping containers, stand alone kiosks in shopping malls and shops on the high street. This makes it easier for franchisees to open in many different spaces and budgets.
